T41 LCD questions

I have a frankenstein unit here with a t41 shell. the board is a t41p 128 sxga however the lcd is an xga and works fine with this board.
My question is if I swap out the xga lcd with a sxga can I use the same cables ribbons and inverter from the xga lcd?
t41p 5LB Gaming wonder.
Overclocked and Under-Volted to the Hilt.

The hardware maintenance manual lists same inverter (26P8464) but different cables 91P6786 vs 91P6787.
