Hi,
today I sent an email to the IBM Support in Germany asking for help referring to the well known errors "2010", "1802" and the PATA bridge. Here is their response:
2010:
"Regarding your first question; If you suspect a hardware failure, I recommend you to phone the IBM Help Centre in
your country"
--> Seems as if they are currently not aware of the 2010 issue?
1802:
No response, but:
"Regarding your second question; you write that Windows 2000 is installed. According to our available information,
Windows 2000 is not supported on the T43"
--> I agree, that it may be unusual, that a T43p is running with W2K instead of XP, but I think that's my choice. If IBM does not support W2K on the T43p, why are there drivers available for download for W2K?
Nevertheless I asked, whether they have perhaps an option to configure the T43p for SATA drive installation (don't know if the physical interface match). They answered, that if the system has no SATA, no SATA supported. Are they aware of their own design?
