T43p - Display brightness - more than 8 brightness levels

Hello!

Is it possible to use more than 8 brightness levels - I would like to have some more levels (eg. 16). Is this possible with some software or is this a hardware limitation?

I bought a software program a few years back to boost the brightness in an old laptop and it had a neat feature of many small steps of increase/decrease. I'll try to find it and if I do I'll get your e-mail and send it to you. Give me a day or so.
