I got the 76U off the epp for 1399.00 then I ordered a stick of 512 and an extra 9 cell, I just found out that IBM has recently released at bunch of new T43 configs.
The 76U is a 2.0 ghz, 512, 80 gig, bluetooth, no fingerprint reader, x300, 14.1 SXGA, cdrw.
Has IBM released anything like the 76U but with a faster harddrive, with the finger reader and DVDRW? I also heard the new models don't have the fan problem?
If its worth it I will return my t43 for the new t43's or a Z series.
Should I return my t43?

If there are no problems with the machine, there is little point in returning it. Do you want to risk getting bad pixels on a new T43? Do you want to be the first to test the untested Z series for any problems it might have?
Homebuilt PC: AMD Athlon XP (Barton) @ 1.47 GHz; nForce2 Ultra; 1GB RAM; 80GB HDD @ 7200RPM; ATI Radeon 9600; Integrated everything else!

Personally I will stick with 4:3 monitor. wide screen seems too "wide" for me
If you really care about the spec. you should return it. If not, keep it.
