How does the Z-Series fit with the T-models

#1 Post by beeblebrox » Sun Aug 28, 2005 5:26 pm

I just had a look at the newest photos of the Z-series in the public...

http://www.ibmuser.idv.tw/viewtopic.php?t=19990

and it seemsed to me that this is more a desknote model, which would replace the G-series. However, it is about the size of the 15" T-series, which would it still make quite travel convenient, taking into account that the widescreen would not be so tall on a flight cabin tray.
Does anyone know, if it would be widescreen flexview?
Potentially with a second (additional) lamp to brighten the screen (similar to Sony) when running on AC?

On the sides of the keyboard, are those loudspeaker (Hello Powerbook!)?

I assume, the Z-series is of the samel quality as the common Thinkpads. Lenovo said, they will have a second brand for consumer notebooks. Any news on that?

Moderator Edit - there are already a couple Z series threads going on in the other forums. Please do not post general questions here. See the forum rules if you need clarifcation. - K. Eng
