SXGA Screen require special cable?

#1 Post by red_dragon » Mon Aug 29, 2005 3:32 am

Does the SXGA screen for T23 (which I just bought) require a special LCD cable? I have a XGA one sitting around. I just really hope I don't have to go buy a SXGA cable. Also I don't even know where to get one. Thx for help again.

I like to know this too... as I broke my XGA (1024x768) screen on my T42-X95 w/ ATI 9000 64MB, want to replace with SVGA+ (1400x1050).

Now I heard that the signaling and cabling are different but what are the solutions if you really want the higher resolution 1400+? I am willing to even upgrade the 9000 to 9600, even the cabling if I have to.

Anyone have any ideas? TIA.

Yep requires SXGA cable. And yes u can replace it with an SXGA screen. Good luck finding one for a reasonable price though.
