T43 Help

I have been having problems getting a T43 system with the specs I want from lenovo. I called about the 2686N9U system but they said online made a mistake as this system was not suppose to be online yet as it is still unavailable. They also said they would no idea when it would be. Two available systems I’m looking at now are:

This system is through the university’s purchase program thus no configuration is allowed. The price is $1822.15 with a spare ultrabay slim battery.

My main concern is that the cheaper one is an older model and since I have read that the new T43 versions have mostly fixed the noise and heat problems I was in favor of getting a newer one. Also the 2686M5U comes with 1GB RAM but the other comes with a better wireless card. Lastly, I was hoping to get one with Bluetooth and the 7200 rpm drive but it looks like this is a tough thing to do in my price range.

What are your suggestions?

In my opinion,data security is very important to you,you should choose 2686M5U.It have figerprint reader.Or the 2668C6U will be better,larger HDD,WIFI.The more important thing is Cheap and very good!
