#1 Post by Ibmt40lost » Tue Aug 30, 2005 4:55 pm

Hey guys i'm new to this forum. the problem i have is I just got a minidock for my t40. After buying the dock I finally noticed that the connector on the laptop is all mis aligned.

This pic if u look at the yellow line shows that it sticks out and isn't flush

This pic shows how misaligned it is.

I dont know how to completely take it apart. if there is a place where I can get instructions that would be awesome.

And any help from you guys is really appreciated

Thanks[/img]

Wow, that's a new one. I would have it serviced if you are still under warranty. Otherwise, question 8 in the FAQ addresses taking apart your thinkpad. Thinkpad removal instructions

Thanks for the input. I guess i'm the only one with this problem. I looked at the docs and took the keyboard apart and noticed this black tapish like thing covering the part. I wonder if its screwed down or not, im' too afraid to take that tapish thing off.
