Fastest and Biggest Hard Drive for T42p?

#1 Post by WozniakMac » Tue Sep 06, 2005 2:43 pm

I have heard a lot of people talking about the problems with upgrading hard drives in thei ThinkPads, but I was wondering if there were any problems upgrading to a bigger and faster (100GB 7200RPM or 120GB 5400RPM) hard Drive.

Can this be done in my thinkpad without having any problems?

i think it's only the T43s that have the bios problem. i want one of those 100gb 7200rpm drives, but i can't find them anywhere.

That's what I am looking at, but unfortunately, I, as well as everyone else, are having problems finding them. If you find one, shoot me a pm. Thank you for the reply.

Just wait for 1-2 months. Once Seagate and Hitachi start fighting in the 7200rpm arena, the hype will go down and so will the prices.
