Just got my Thinkpad T43 (2686DGU)

I just wanted to say that I am extremly happy with my new T43 model 2686DGU, I had to actually go and pick it up at UPS as they did not want to deliver it when I was home so it was a minor inconvience.

Overall I am very happy with it, no dead pixels, all the thinkpads my family members have owned have never had a dead pixel problem so i really was not expecting any. I thought the fan would be louder but i notice it actually goes so silent at times i can't even hear it and doesn't get that loud even when its hot.

I'm also running photoshop and 3DS Max on it fine which is another plus for me. I also got an EPP discount which saved me some money, would definetly buy another thinkpad again, after seeing all the dells around my college's campus they look really cheap compared to my T43 not to mention much thicker.

I was not so lucky, I have ordered two and both came with stuck pixels. I now have yet a third ordered. Maybe thrid time is a charm.

thats too bad, i would be really frustrated if i had to re-order it 3 times, hopefully this time it will be worth it.

I placed my order at 11pm...
Pre-aranged pick-up...
T41 went from Tenn. to KC at next 6am...
It was literally there before I knew it,,,(10am)...DHL...

No dead pixels!!!

It also flexes...I like it

Anybody got an 'older' flex-screen?
