FireGLV3200 don't update the driver with wupdate !!!

#1 Post by nrj45 » Sat Sep 10, 2005 4:23 pm

Hello,
I just updated the driver of my graphic card with wupdate (hardware optional update). The driver of wupdate was of this month, so i tried it.

If i standby my t43p, when i will wake it up it will display a bluescreen saying that the graphic driver is in an infinite loop.

Since I reput the "old" driver (6.14.10.6512 of 19.01.2005) all works.
17.06.05:
t43p (2668G4G), PM750, 2Go dual, 1032GAX (100gb/5k/16mb) 2010 error msg, SXGA+ 14.1", V3200, DVD-RW, GBeth, Intel abg, bt, 9 cells, XPPro/Ubuntu, Fingerprint,
800MHz-0.7Vcore, LCD min -> 13Watts

I noticed this too. I also tried to update from ATIs site, the installer starts and then it says something to the effect of I don't have the correct hardware to use this driver.

also, i just noticed that rtcw and wolfenstein enemy territory crash without any error while ingame... everything just freezes... gonna try with the old driver in a sec

edit: seems to do it with the old driver too :oops:
edit2: after further troubleshooting, it has something to do with the combination of certain videocard drivers and punkbuster (anti cheating software in some fps games)
