Anyway to get the fan higher

#1 Post by user101 » Sun Sep 11, 2005 1:39 pm

So whenever I get the CPU at full load for a while the cpu gets very hot (60-75 C sometimes 80). The problem is the fan never get faster. I've heard the fan become a lot faster before just not when the cpu is at full load anymore. Edit: I have the 2686-DGU

well, it what they call passive cooling... i'd prefer the fan blow each 20-25 mins, instead of being on all the time...

Most owners of T43(p)s have the opposite problem; the fan is constantly on at a high level, regardless of the CPU temperature. Intel says the maximum temperature for the Pentium M processors is 100 degrees. Your temperatures should be safe.
