Can I use a T42 in a Dock (2631) ?

The reason I'm asking this is because I've seen an IBM page showing the more expensive Dock II as backward-compatible with older models like the X30 and T20 among others.
I'm moving towards a T42 and would like to be able to keep the 2631 that is currently attached to my X31. Would it be zero compatibility or rather a matter of certain features not being available ?
