Hi,
I have just bought a brand new IBM ThinkPad T41p. The machine works like a charm but I am not totally satisfied with the build quality - more specifically with the ABS molded casing.
With the lid closed there is a is widening of the gap between the base and the LCD when viewed from the back (parralel port to left hinge). It looks to me like the bottom of the casing is a bit warped.
The battery is also a bit difficult to remove. Even with both hooks released, I still need to lurk the battery to get it loose. No problem reinserting the battery - it just slides right in.
The ThinkPad R40 (and my girlfriends old T22) seems to a lot more sturdy.
I am especially interested in know if the gab "problem" is normal. Could anyone tell me if their T40/T41/T42 has the same kind of gab?

Best regards
