I tried to update Rescue and Recovery (RNR) from 2.0 (pre-loaded) and 3.0 via the Software Update Installer program. I choose upgrade, and deleted the program shortcuts to the 2.0 and apparently deleted the files. When the installation was finished, there were no new program shortcuts, yet the Client Security software was running and asking for a password. Fortunately, it was the same as my Windows passord.
I botched this install, and I just want 2.0 back. I uninstalled RNR 3.0.
Do I need to download the 400 MB file for RNR 2.0 from the website
or
can I hit the Access IBM button on bootup and selectively reinstall RNR 2.0 from the partition?
I already made recovery CDs and rescue media based on RNR 2.0 prior to this.
Thanks.
