ATI Catalyst Mobility 5.9 now supports Mobility Radeon X300

Has anyone tried it on the T43...Mobility Radeon 9600 is supported too...I was wondering if it is better to wait for Lenovo to release their version first

On their site they list:
Note: Certain mobile products are blocked from downloading the Catalyst™ Mobility™ software driver available from the ATI web site. This is to protect systems from installing drivers that may disable features or functionality provided by the system manufacture.

If anyone tries installing these, comments are very welcome.
I can't imagine anything particularly bad about installing them. The 5.8's are fine on my T42.

I tried the other day and I believe the installer does not allow you to install on IBM Thinkpads. I'm trying the Omega drivers route, and we'll see how that goes.

I tried running them on the other 'top and I hated them.

Gave me a bit more fps, but BSODs every time you go into standby

On the other hand, the 5.9s worked for me. Instead, the Omega gave me BSODs on standy mode..

Using it on a T43 with a x300.
