Text cursor disappears?

Text cursor disappears?

This is an issue with pretty much anywhere where the mouse turns into the text cursor (word, this textbox right here, etc.) The cursor pretty much just disappears completely, and if I move it around I can see it, and then it'll disappear again. Is this possibility an issue with my video driver? I'm running a 14" T43 with the ATI x300 card

There is a setting in the mouse driver. Something that said hide mouse when typing... uncheck that..

yup -- the hide mouse thing is defnitely disabled and it still happens. Any other thoughts?

Sorry, that is the only setting i know.
