T43's and cooling pads?

#1 Post by dc81 » Wed Sep 28, 2005 4:38 pm

With a lot of people complaining about the heat and fan noise of their T43/T43P, have any of you tried using cooling pads? I have never used one but you would think that they would help with the heat, I don't know about the fan noise since most cooling pads have fans of their own. Just a thought.

I'm using a Targus cooling pad got from buy.com. Cheap as it is, but still functional. The point is it takes a usb port and btw who's gonna bring extra weight with the already 5 lbs baby?

I'm using Coolpad. It helps with the heat. but it's still hot and the fan sound is still there.

I'm not expecting for anybody to carry around a coolpad with them, I certainly would not, but when used as a desktop I was just curious about the results.

imo, the noise isn't that bad when I just work (I did spend 3 days perfectly managing my heat and power)
it get's noisier when I prime or game, but I use headphones... If you guys hate it so bad, open it and replace it by a Papst or add a trimmer in between the lines so you can control the speed itself
