Troubleshoting T21 Video problem

Hi all,

A buddy of mine sent me his T21 that has a video problem. On startup, it has a very dark screen and I can see the IBM logo, but nothing else. Ok, thot it was either a backlight or inverter problem... I first swapped out the inverter from a T20, that didnt fix it. Ok, swapped the LCD from the T20, also didnt fix it. External video works fine. LCD came back on for a short time, then went dark again after reboot. I'm a little stumped at this point. Only things left are video cable, or video card/mobo. Any ideas?
