T43 (2668-R1U) X300 w/XGA

Anyone else placed an order for a T43 2668-R1U? Its a Sep 05 model.

(Its not on the VISA site, I found it in the tabook).

The earlier T43 models with the X300 only had SXGA+ as an option. From past experience, I knew my eyes would be straining a little with a 14.1 SXGA+ so when I saw the R1U with the 1024x768 resolution and a dedicated X300 card, I went for it.

No Fingerprint. Only a 40GB but I've got a Hitachi 60GB that I'm hoping will work. I've read thru the other thread with the 2010 boot up error message with non-IBM bought HD ...

Is there a consensus as to the largest HD that is not bought directly from IBM/Lenovo that will work without a 2010 bootup error message on a T43? If so, I would appreciate the model# and where it was bought from.

It feels good to have pulled the trigger to finally replace my Inspiron 8200 ... but shipping is est Nov 18!
