Bluetooth for T42

Hello all

I have a T42 model number 2373-6YG it doesnt have bluetooth but i would like to add this feature. I`m a little confused on whether i need to buy a bluetooth modem daughter card or a bluetooth card and if i need to buy an antenna? I had a look at the service parts for this laptop and i believe i need to order a bluetooth modem daughter card but am not sure if this model has the antenna already fitted.

The BMDC inclues modem and blue tooth function. The BDC only has blue tooth function. I you dont need modem, you maybe only need to buy a BDC. All t 42 models have inner antenna of the bluetooth. you dont necessary buy an antenna.

Not all T42 have the built in bluetooth antenna assembly installed. To check if your particular model has BT antenna, just remove the four screws of the keyboard, and check upper left, there you find the CDC modem card. Remove the CDC modem, and if you see a nice white cable below it (not attached to it) then you have a BT antenna

BMDC200 is a good choice for Bluetooth/Modem combo.
