Floppy drive on parallel port on T42 problem

#1 Post by Franasia » Sat Oct 08, 2005 7:05 pm

Hi everyone,

I have this IBM external floppy drive with paralell port cable that came with a T30. I have tried to configure it to my T42 to no avail. Have looked up BIOS settings also. Clueless so far.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Get a USB IBM floppy drive, or better yet for half a price than the IBM you can get USB Acer floppy drive. It works flawlessly and supported by the BIOS right when you first turn on your computer. You can use that to update Firmwares too if needed.

Thanks jlingo for your tip. Got IBM USB floppy from eBay at half the price of the Acer. Again, thanks much! :D
