T41p screen a little red in the lower left corner?

Hi,

If I set up a completly white background and turn up the contrast on my T41p, the lower left hand corner is not completely white. It looks white with a slightly red tone.

Anyone else noticed this - Its not bad at all, just wondering

I know this is prob. a noob question, but how exactly do you turn up the contrast? are you using a 3rd party utility, or is there some setting I am missing in the display control panel?

Well, maybe contrast is the wrong expression - I turn up the backlight using the blue function key and the lights up/down. The effect is full backlight just like when the machine is operating with the supply attached.

Is your screen 100% white when you set up at totally white background with the backlight in max? - it is not bad, its just a very light ton eof red near the edges.

I can see that you have a T42p, so your screen must be the same.

Ah you meant turn the brightness up...I did so against a completely white screen and I'm afraid I don't see any red that you refer to. It can be slightly off-white (maybe a reddish or greyish tint) if you change your viewing angle significantly, but when looking at it straight on i don't see any discoloration.

Its the reddish tint that I am talking about. And yes, it does get more apperant when I change the viewing angle. I looks to me like its a little more pronounced at the left side, but that may well be my eyes playing tricks on me.
