DDR vs. DDR2

Is there a big difference between DDR n DDR2...? Will the T42 supports the new DDR2? Thanks..

That one's been discussed here before I believe. Won't matter much if the speed/bandwidth of the front side bus of the CPU is less than that of the DDR2. So it may not be a deal-breaker if you're considering a laptop with 'only' DDR.

Although it's most probably been said before on this forum: No, the T42 will not accept DDR2 (like any other DDR(1) laptop won't), neither will the T43 (which uses DDR2) take DDR(1) memory.
