Mini Dock Q

#1 Post by ZaZ » Fri Oct 14, 2005 9:33 pm

I just got the Mini Dock for my T42. Is there a way to turn off the laptop's speakers while still having the connected speakers still working? Any help mucho appreciated.

Or just a dummy plug (one with no wires).

Thanks for the replies. One more questions if I may. I got my dock a couple months ago. Everything ran great. Last week I did a fresh install of XP. Now when I am plugged into the dock, the fan comes on most of the time. I'd say it is on medium most of the time with the ocassional bump upwards. Funny thing is, it never did this before. I use my ThinkPad in a quite room so I think I would have noticed it before. I didn't install anything differently this time. I downloaded Network Hardware Control. It say my temp is mainly around 55 degrees when plugged in and around 40 degrees when not. I never hear the battery when plugged in. I figured this would happen because the CPU is running at full speed while plugged in. Anyone want to make a guess why this is happenning now? Thanks for any help.
