High "peak commit charge" after booting up

#1 Post by zeroa » Sat Oct 15, 2005 1:27 am

My T43 has 1.5G physical memory. After windows finishes booting up, the "peak commit charge" shown in task manager is around 1.2G before I run any program. :?

In my desktop, the booting up "peak commit charge" never exceeds 100M. Could a few of you reboot and tell me your Peak Commit Charge, along with how much RAM you have? It's in Task Manager under Performance if you've never looked before.

Well after a fresh boot sitting idle in windows mine is just under 300mb.

I have a T43p with 2gb of RAM.
X31, T43p (on sale soon I think :( ), T400

I guess the video card driver has some problem (ATI Radeo X300, 64M). After I uninstalled the driver, everything went back to normal. The peak commit charge was around 100M.
