Hi,
I have a T43 ( 1875-E5U). When I got it, it worked fine, coming out of standby in a few seconds. I installed linux, and then had to restore it to factory setting using rapid restore.
I am now back on xp, with all updates applied ( both xp and ibm), and I have a strange problem.
The laptop takes a long time to come out of standby. about a minute.. This happens randomly, sometimes it works fine and sometimes it doesn't.
It mostly happens when it's been on standby for a long time, i.e more than 30 minutes. if its less than that, it works fine.
hibernate takes the normal amount of time, about 20-30 seconds.
Has anyone had a similar problem? How do I fix it? It's really annoying to keep looking at the screen waitng for it to turn on.
Thanks,
Aditya
