T42 battery replacement (warenty)

Hi out there.

Does anyone got expiereience with european ibm/lenovo policy on battery replacement under warenty?

My t42-6cell battery is at just under 3hours, when it was new it was at 4.5 hours. Furthermore it is not really fitting the laptop well.

Any expirence if they might swop it for anew one?

Hi,
I have only USA experience with battery exchange. I have been able to exchange a new-ish (within 30 days) battery for one with a better fit. Otherwise if you do a couple of proper recharge cycles (complete drain and recharge) and the battery condition stays "red" you should be able to get an exchange for a battery that would be of a more appropriate condition for the age of your laptop (but don't expect a new battery). This has been my experience with several X31's and T4x's I owned. Other may have better or worse stories.
