T43: Warranty and Bluetooth Questions

#1 Post by skg » Sun Oct 23, 2005 2:47 pm

I'm interested in buying a T43, but I've a few questions that the Lenovo site doesn't suffiently answer for me. I'm trying to build my own computer directly from Lenovo. Ideally, I want the T43 with the 14" sxga screen, pentium m 750, and 60 gb 7200 rpm hd. However:

1. The site claims that I can't get bluetooth with a T43. It seems odd that the newest model wouldn't have bluetooth. Is there an easy way for a person like me who knows very little about hardware to install it without damaging my computer?

2. Should I invest in a "PC protection service"? It's not cheap, but it appears to cover my bases. I'm trying to keep the price at 2200 or less.

Thanks for any help in advance

As far as #1, my T43 has bluetooth. Call Lenovo and speak to a sales rep. They can often sift through all the models faster than you can. Tell the rep what you want, and they can give you a few model #'s.

They are very good at that I might add.

i added the bluetooth by myself, all the thing you have to do just open up the keyboard and replace the card. it's very easy, doesn't need any skill.
The subtotal is $54, but i don't know why IBM didn't charge it from my credit card
