802.11a is used in many large-corporate settings, which is why IBM supplies it.

Sorry to be dense (this is my first forum post), but why would I want it if my T43 comes with Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG and Bluetooth (Standard)?

Some people here have a complex against anything without an IBM logo.

That, and it could be for those with older T series laptops that do not have built-in wireless, or just need a replacement.

Remember this is the T series forum, not just the T43 forum. :D

Got it, thanks. I was confused because Lenovo's info page on the card says "Compatible with wireless upgradable models of ThinkPad [including]... T43/p (2668...)" -- and the 2668 comes with the 2915ABG, so I thought it was an "upgrade" somehow.

I'm just hoping we see an 802.11n card for the T series....

I really hope to get one.
