Anyone know of a store that sells thinkpads in washingtonDC?

I live out of the country but will be in washington dc for two weeks at the end of the month (15th-31st). I'm trying to figure out the best way to get my hands on a T42, specifically a 2379DXU.

I have a feeling though that the only place to get one of those is direct from IBM, and from what I have been reading, it may not get delivered in time.

So as a plan B, does anyone know of a store/dealer in DC or perhaps on the internet that would have some T42s in stock?

I believe he is a reseller in Florida. If you can pay him for a Thinkpad he has in stock at that time, I am sure he can ship one to you in DC even overnight.

I'll been in the DC area for about 6 years. I have never seen a store carry any of the higher end Thinkpads. CompUSA used to carry the Thinkpad i-Series about 4 or 5 years ago, but they don't carry them anymore.

I can vouch for that. Not a single ThinkPad in sight (except for the one on my lap).

Thats like... a bummer. Oh well, I am hoping to order one off the net, I found a site... www.cdw.com (I think they used to be microwarehouse.com) that has some t42s in stock and read next day delivery! The only thing is that they seem to be a few hundred $$$ more than on ibm.com

Sweet! I just got confirmation that a 2379DXU has been ordered and will be waiting for me when I get there next week.
