T42 Shutdown - no warning.
T42 Shutdown - no warning.
I have had my 42 shut down about 4x in the last year. This happens with no warning. In order to get the unit back on, I need to remove the battery and all power first. If I try to just turn the unit back on with the power switch, nothing happens until I remove the battery.

I have, though on a different Laptop not made by IBM/Lenovo.
I don't know if this will help, but I would check to see if the BIOS is up to date as this was one, of the many, problems that seemed to cause this on my Old HP Laptop. I do also think there was something mentioned in the Forums about someone having a similar problem and calling up IBM. I think that IBM told him to take the battery out and press the On/Off Button 10 or so times. Worked Fine after that. HTH
I will see if I can find that thread and link to it if I can

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
