memory for T42p

#1 Post by jdzbox » Wed Nov 09, 2005 7:28 pm

Would 2G DDR2 PC4200 (533MHz) Memory work with T42p?
I know that the T42p uses PC 3200 (400Mhz). But wouldn't it just work at that clock?

NO AN NO!

DDR2 PC4200 will never run on a T42. Its both physically and electrically incompatible with the system board of the T42. Its a 1.8v memory. PC3200 memory is DDR standard with 2.5v! Also the T42 is compatible up to 1 GB x 2 memory DDR modules (2 GB max)
