T43p driver support & windows 2000?

#1 Post by Omeso » Sat Nov 19, 2005 2:19 pm

Planning on installing Windows 2000 onto my T43p, but i'm wondering if everything of the drivers, tools, software updates from IBM would work on it? Somebody already installed it and has any disadvantages?

I don't see any reason why it won't. There are millions of companies that only use W2k, and when they purchase a new laptop, still put W2k on it (Regardless of what it shipped with).

If there was a big problem, it would likely be a sticky based on how many would have encountered it.

Just curious, but why would you want to do that with a new T43. Why do you prefer Win 2k to XP Pro?

I'll do the same whenn I get mine. For me the rest is simply that all the Rest of my Network at home is on W2k.
Besides I can handle it much better :)

I find XP to be much more annoying with all the pop-up boxes and such.
