Screen Flicker

When I try installing either the Omega drivers or the modded catalysts it creates a screen flicker after one or two reboots. Could this have to do with some internal conflict that I can fix with a fresh installation, or should is it a hardware issue?

not the Omega drivers or the modded catalysts is suitable to X300 in IBM T43.if you installed a driver not coming from IBM,the thinkpad will have some problem just like standby,hibernate.I have these experance.

Aren't they compatible with the 9600? I have a T42, and I'm sure I've heard of people using these drivers without incident on this forum.
