T42s gone from Levono?

#1 Post by alison » Mon Nov 21, 2005 12:27 am

So, I have been watching and trying to figure out when to buy and went to Levono's site yesterday to realize that T42s are basically gone from the thinkpad express. Also, the computer I could have configured for about 1400, is now about 1600.
What do people think are the T42s gone then?
Do you think prices will drop closer to Christmas, or is it best to wait until after the New Years to buy?

I will need a laptop in the New Year, but don't really need it before.

All opinions welcome - esp psychics :P
Thanks

From what I have seen prices always drop around Christmas and that time of year. IBM/Lenovo usually put out good deals and sales on Laptops.A similar spec T43 is slightly less expensive than a similar T42, all things being similar of course. That is because they want to get the latest Model out the door quickly, much like Apple; but not as quick. I don't know if IBM/Lenovo will introduce any more price breaks on the T42. :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

Prices are already low for EPP. I dont think those prices get much lower. The huge drops are based on the normal web price to make the deals sound even more spectacular.
