Hey all,
i just got notebook hardware control (centrino hardware control), and am curious as to what settings to use to optimize battery and performance. Any suggestions? Thanks a million.

make some search on the forum to find settings samples...
But my own experience in this topic is :
- all coefficients are not used in speed stepping (not all of 6x to 15x multipliers will be used, in your case) so make settings only for the ones that are effectively used...
- use dynamic switching so the frequency will climb only under load.
- to tune each step vcore : fix the multiplier you want to tune (to keep this multiplier for the tests). Run prime95 and lower the vcore of the given frequency until prime95 reports some calculation errors (should be earlyer than the crashpoint). When errors are reported, you know you have reached the vcore limit. So keep a margin for not beeing on the limit of calculation errors.
- for high frequency, keep a greater margin than for low frequency
