Hmmm, then it isn't a Dead Pixel; sounds like a Stuck Pixel more like it ;) :)

you can get the PSP Video and loop it and place it over the Pixel; that should make it go away if it is a stuck pixel..it could take some time though. :)

Well, when the PSP came out; apparntly, Sony over extended themselves on meeting the demand and ended up with a significant portion of the PSPs having Dead/Stuck Pixels in Clumps. Then someone made a video that flashes through RGB in various ways, included B/W. I tried this out, and it can unstick a stuck pixel; it can also, however, "stick" a pixel. All it is, as stated, is a movie that rapidly several colors, forcing the pixel(s) to adapt. Do a search for it and you can find it. ;) :)

BTW: What color is the stuck pixel? White?

Pixel is black, if i may say. And what about video, i have found only flash version on your linked URI (and it isn`t over the entire screen). Do you have normal video ( i mean *.avi, *.mpeg, etc). I wanna launch it overnight.

edit: I got it, thanks christopher_wolf. I hope it will help. If somebody want to download the crazy video, it`s available at this site: http://www.psp-vault.com/Article168.psp

Black typically is dead, not stuck, though it can't hurt to try, on occasion it does come back, though not common.

Dead pixels are not uncommon. Seems lately, laptop manufacturers won't take a return unless more than 7 pixels have gone bad in the warranty period.

I'll spare you the droll and brain numbing description of how this happens. Suffice to say, pixels can go bad. I have a 7 year old one that came with 1 bad pixel, and ... I think ... 1 more has died. Maybe 2. That's pretty good.

Hmmmm, other than replacing the LCD? I don't know. You could also try to wait it out. I had one do that to me, stayed around for awhile, then disappeared over the course of a few months. :)

Ya know, I've noticed some of these 'stuck pixels' on my screen as well. They will appear out of nowhere, in completely random spots that were perfectly fine.

They dissappear after a while, I'm not sure if it takes a reboot or what... havent tried the PSP util yet, but as long it's not a "dead" pixel, I'll live with it :?

Actually, I don't think it is much to worry about; I have seen them during periods of high screen usage with Renders and Videos; they usually go away. :)
