DVD Burner for my T40

Hello folks,
Can you suggest me some DVD burners available in the market for T40.
I almost bought the NEC 6650A but later came to know it wont fit the Thinkpads because they have thinner drives... :cry:
Could any of you guys help me?

I bought the NEC without doing sufficient research and got burned basically because it doesn't fit. It appears there are no non-OEM burners for this T40.

am hopping lenovo releases a 8x dual layer DVD burner for the ThinkPad T43, cause then all the T40/T41/T42 will have access to a TRUE DVD burner

You could get a usb powered case for your NEC drive. NEC drives are much better burners than the Panasonic drives offered on ThinkPads. I leave the battery in the bay.
