Graphics solution:Intel vs ATI 7500 16MB vs ATI7500 32MB

I'd like to hear what do you guys think about new generation laptop graphics solutions: How Intel integrated graphic solution compares to old ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 16MB and old ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 32MB?

Cheers for everyone and have a great weekend!!

I personally would never buy a computer with an intel built in graphiscs solution. It shares processor to do graphics as well as ram. Always go for the higher end graphics card with the most memory even if you don't need it right now. You would be surprised how soon you will need it.

I remember the day I bought the toshiba tecra 8000 with 2.5 mb of ram in graphics card. I couldn't give it away, the trash man took it out of the dumbster and left it. :)

As monitors get bigger more graphics memory is required. Just look at the new apple 30 in lcd, no graphics card in existence today is sufficient except the one Nvidia made for it.

Well, I think any "integrated" graphics won't do the same job as a "independent" graphics card, but when it comes to economy, because you don't have the money to buy a laptop with 32MB or 64MB graphics card, thinking on next years, a cheap intel solution is not that bad, isn't?
And that's my point, will an intel integrated graphics solution do the same job as a OLD ATI mobility 7500 w/ only 16MB?

Well no it won't do the same job but it will be sufficient. Just depends on what you are doing. If its just school work and no games or high end graphics and you don't plan on putting a big monitor on it then go for it. I have a 16mg card in my notebook and it is fine for what I use it for. Its all about the cash though and you have to get the best you can afford when it comes to laptops because they are not upgradeable.

intel integrated won't be as good as 7500.. but the new 9100igp from radeon will be on par with it - maybe even a bit better..

what does the amount of memory have to do with what he size display you can run :? the only reason to get more video memory is if you are going to be doing any gameing.

Not true. The memory in the graphics card allows you to view higher resolutions and colors.
