T40 and DVI on port rep. + Dock II and PCI Video

Would my ATI radeon 7500 support dvi output thru my port-replicator dvi connection?

Also out of curiosity: Say one buys the dock II and puts in a new video card into the available PCI slot. Would that allow me to use that video card for improved video editing/gaming or will all these functions be run off of the default, built in video card?

I have no idea if it will work, but the PCI slot is a half height slot so that will limit your options.

I'm almost certain that this will work fine. I say "almost certain" because I haven't personally done it with a 7500, but everything I know indicates that it should be no problem.

I have a PCI video card in my dock, and I can watch movies and play games on it. But it doesn't perform as good as my internal ATI 9600 T2. I think the PCI bus limits the card's performance. I use the internal adapter for damanding tasks, and the PCI video card for web pages, etc.
