Could anyone tell me if it is possible put BMDC-300[IV] 39T0022 in IBM T42?

how does Bluetooth IV differs from Bluetooth II/III ?

BMDC3 cannot work on T42. (modem works, but BT doesn't work, 1803 error)

You can choose BMDC200, BMDC200b on T42. No modem request, BDC01 also works.

BMDC3 BT&modem combo, 100 meter
BMDC200/b, 10 meter

How do you have bluetooth work on T42 with BMDC-300(IV) ?
I installed then FN+F5 doesn't apeear Bluetooth Radio

Also, the WiFi range on most laptops is also greater than that of many other mobile devices such as cell phones. As such, Laptops like tht Thinkpad consume more power than cell phones and offer greater range. So I am guessing that the BT Sets have different power ratings as well; as displayed by the range increase from II&III to IV. :)
