FIX the error 2010 in T43?
Honestly I don't really give a S about FAN noise. Error 2010 is the main thing.
Please advice. Thanks

The delay and beep is still enoforced, but it will not bring up the 2010 and, therefore, you do not have to press Esc to get out of it. :)

there are not significant BIOS upgrades (I mean fixes) since 1.03 ...

if 2010 is really bothering you, you can degrade to 1.03 BIOs and this stupid 2010 will disappear.

I believe a fix isn't possible here because they check hdd's firmware to be on their tested list. do you think they're going to test all 2,5" hdds?

Well, some drives have worked with it, and some needed a firmware update that went fine; I don't know. BIOS 1.03 didn't check for the Firmware, but there may be a very valid reason as to why IBM/Lenovo decided to do this. They might pre-select drives to test on; Hitachi's first, etc. Then put those on later firmware updates, but I don't know what they have in mind.

In the following page you can read about the 2010 'Feature'....................
POST warning message 2010 after BIOS upgrade or hard drive installation - ThinkPad General
This error is purposely generated to alert the user to potential problems with diagnostic or copy tools.
The hard drives shipped in the affected systems will not display the message because they already have firmware that recognizes this new Serial ATA bridge chip. However, a similar drive from an earlier ThinkPad system or an OEM drive might cause the error message to be displayed. Customers may also notice the POST error message after applying a ThinkPad BIOS update if a drive without the firmware update is installed in the system. Some early systems were shipped with a system BIOS version that did not provide this POST error message. Updated BIOS has been released to provide this informative POST error message to users.
