Embedded Controller Causing Windows Errors?

#1 Post by DIGITALgimpus » Sun Dec 04, 2005 9:54 pm

Since the update, I've been getting a ton of the following:

Code: Select all

\Device\ACPIEC: The embedded controller (EC) hardware returned data when none was requested. This may indicate that the BIOS is incorectly trying to access the EC without syncronizing with the OS. The data is being ignored.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Right click on "My Computer" and select "Manage"
Open "Events Viewer"
Select "System"

They show up with the source of acpiec, and typically in bursts.
