Hi.. guys..
I just recieved a T43.
I'm very happy with the fan because it is not the noisy compared to the early version. However, now I'm getting the feeling that is is not doing it's job. The notebook hardware manager tells me that, while playing high graphic oridented games, my CPU's temperature goes upto 70 C. While all this is happening my fan just spins quietly at well..... I don't know level 2? or 3? What is going on? Is it good for the cpu to go up to 70 C. I think not. What do you guys think?

That sounds normal, 70-72 Degrees; I have much the same thing happening to me. The Fan doesn't spool up reall high, usually stays around level 1 or 2 which is pretty quiet. Yesterday, I started up at 28 Degrees and the fan didn't come on for an hour and a hlaf. Needless to say, though, the ambient temperature was significantly cooler than room temperautre. I also hovered around 41-50 Degrees for most of the day plus I didn't shut my Thinkpad off.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
