Error Event ID:7026 and Event ID: 7000 on my T41P

#1 Post by akhavan » Fri Dec 16, 2005 9:41 am

Hi,

Recently I get two Errors on my T41p Event Viewer system.

The first one is:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7026
Date: 12/16/2005
Time: 18:01:06
User: N/A
Computer: T41P
Description:
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
DVDVRRdr_xp

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

and the second one is:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7000
Date: 12/16/2005
Time: 18:01:06
User: N/A
Computer: T41P
Description:
The PMEM service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

I went to MS no luck then I searched google for both. As it turned out the first one 7026 DVDVRRdr_xp has to do something with Intel PROSet Wired which I have on my computer version 8.2.0.0 Now do I have to uninstall it or what?

The second one 7000 PMEM is an application which IBM puts on its laptops but I do not know which program installs it. I checked IBM site and it tell that PMEM is used " The KernelFile parameter specifies ... because the special file /dev/pmem is used. To run the kdb " which does not help me either. Anyone can help me to fix these two Errors because it slows down my boot time.

Thanks

Sepehr
