120 W PSU

Will a 120 W PSU from the G-series work on a T42?

I don't see why it wouldn't. The G series uses desktop-type processors and such which are quite power hungry. Since laptops draw power and the adapter isn't pushing power there should be plenty of juoce and cause no damage to the T42.

Excess watts are no problem. You just need to make sure the voltage is the same. Another thing, while I wouldn't expect the following to be an issue with power supplies from the same manufacturer, it is especially important that the polarity be the same. In other words, verify that the positive and the negative are on the same part of the plug and not reversed.

well .. Specifications states 16 V on both of them. What I could worry about would be different charging charateristics
