odd 2200bg behavior on a T43

I just recently purchased a T43. I am experiencing an odd problem with the 2200bg device. Sometimes after I log into windows, I discover that the device is disabled and I have to manually enable it.

Is anyone experiencing anything like this or is this normal? I've used the search function and can't seem to find any threads about this.
