Hi,
I have a T43 model number 2668. Even when the power setting is set to maximum battery life, the fan is still autable. Does not matter what setting I use, the fan still stays on all the time. Just wanted to know if this is normal.

Probably not, though it will stay "on" all the time, you ought to see a little change in the volume level. (Mine sometimes spools up for 15 seconds, then quiets down.)
Search on the forums for fan problems ... there are some very length threads about it.

This is most likely the "Fan always one" problem; it affects a portion of Thinkpads and does not always act like a reproducible problem (i.e. Not all machines exhibit it) Check out the Fan Control Utility Thread
