DVI 1600x1200 Mini-Dock

#1 Post by JWadle » Fri Dec 30, 2005 2:56 pm

I am running an external LCD monitor via the DVI port on the mini-dock at 1600x1200 from my T43p (FireGL V3200). The display is erratic and breaks up repeatedly.

Has anyone had success with this resolution via DVI from a T43? Any suggestions?

Yes I'm typing this into my T43p on a 1920X1200 DVI connection right now. Beautifully sharp. I hade a second screen (1600X1200) connected via analog too, but that was way too fuzzy to read text.
Version shows 8.133-050510a-024101C IBM if that's any help.

Suggestions....
  1. Run Software Installer, ensure you've got the latest drivers.
  2. Run Display Properties, Settings, Advanced, Monitor tab, and see if other refresh rates are available.
  3. Find another tab for the ATI monitor setting (also under Advanced), see what it says.
  4. What's the native display res of your monitor? is it LCD?

I'm using a T43p (2668-Q2U) with a Dell 2001FP via the mini-dock's DVI connector at 1600x1200 with absolutely no problems.
